PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN TERHADAP NILAI-NILAI PANCASILA PADA MAHASISWA PERGURUAN TINGGI

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Civic Education (PKn) on the understanding and internalization of Pancasila values in university students. The background of this research is the ideological challenges faced by students in the era of globalization, which has the potential to erode the noble values of the nation. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-test and post-test survey approach on a sample of students who took PKn courses. The results of the study show that PKn has a significant and positive influence on these three aspects. There is a noticeable improvement in students' comprehension scores after taking this course. In addition, PKn has also succeeded in fostering a stronger attitude of tolerance, unity, and a sense of nationality. However, this study also identifies that the implementation of Pancasila values in daily behavior still requires further encouragement through more interactive and relevant learning methods.  The conclusion of this study is that Civic Education plays a vital role as an ideological fortress for students and becomes an effective instrument in shaping the character of Pancasila. The results of this study are recommended to be used as material for the evaluation and development of the PKn curriculum in the future as well as as a reference for further research
